Originally from New Zealand, Nadene relocated to Ireland in 2001. We first started working with Nadene, a career EA, in 2008 after she was made redundant for the first time in her career.
We have worked with Nadene at various times over the last 7 years, and, in this August she was the lucky winner of our BrightStar of the Month award. We made our way out to her current assignment location to present her with her prize and to grab the opportunity to have a quick coffee and a chat about her time with us.
“Back in 2008 after registration and introduction to Emma and the BrightStar team, I was assigned to my very first placement – An Executive Support Maternity cover at Kellogg’s. I recall the job market at the time had been turned upside down, and like many people in the same position, being unemployed and suddenly job-seeking after a rewarding and full-on career was very daunting and quiet overwhelming. Brightstar (then Brightwater Support) team offered a ‘stand out’, professional service. You didn’t feel like you were going it alone, they followed up when they said they would and they were honest and genuine. Like so many others I was no stranger to the challenges that the economic downturn had brought about and I kept in touch with the BrightStar team while in contract roles.”
“Having worked with various Recruitment Agencies over the years (and having a short stint as a PA Recruitment Specialist myself) I think I’ve definitely developed an awareness for which Recruitment Consultants are passionate about matching the right person with the right role versus those who are coming at it from a purely sales perspective, with BrightStar they are recruitment specialists, they have always been available at the other end of the phone, even if it is just to offer advice or to see what is happening in the current job market. “
